Who I AM...

My name is Nada
It means the dew that you find it on leaves
It means generosity that comes from my home country
Saudi Arabia is where I born, I live, it's where I grew up to be a grown up
Hot and summer is the only weather
It's where people love each others and family get together
Islam is our religion, but we also respect others
We have fancy buildings, cars, and not only a camel
You should try to know us and you will never forget it or regret it

Thoughts on society and The Giver

As people said "memories are the treasure of mind" and they shape our personalities. Memories are who we are today. However, what are memories? and how we can perceive them?. Memories are information that are collected by the human senses and stored in our mind. These information can be recalled when needed or it can just stay there in our mind. All people perceive memories by experiencing them. These memories can bring happiness and sadness. They also can be used as a guide for our future attitudes and behaviors. Experiencing the right and the wrong things will help people to remember and to recall the right information that goes with the situation.

I wonder once what would be different in the world if we had only one generation of memories. In my opinion, I think the world would be like the one in the Giver book. Some people will consider this as utopia but for me its dystopia. I think memories are meant to be shared. And it's not fair for one generation to have the memories. What is the point of these memories if no one is going to remember them? as they said " life is a beautiful straggle, and at the end of the day, all we have are memories".

Rules are different from society to society. I always asked myself about lots of rules in all societies. who made them? and are the advantages of these rules more valuable than the disadvantages?. One of these rules is about the Chinese society. I wonder why they are forced to have only one child per family?. I know that there are trying to control people's birth because of the huge population, but I am bewilder how policymakers put such a planned birth policy. I am not sure if I am right, but I think that birth control is a personal decision and each person should be responsible for the consequences of his/her own decision.

The best lesson my parent taught me

I consider myself lucky to have such a lovely parent like my mom and dad. They taught me a lot of things but the best thing is helping others and respecting them.
My parent believe that if  I help someone one day, God will send someone to help me if  I needed help. Day after day, I become more stronger in believing in what they believe in. I remember one day my friend had a car accident and I took her and I dropped her with my car. A week later my car stopped in the high way and one of my friend was passing their by chance she took me and dropped me to my home.

Moreover, Respecting others is another valuable thing that I learned from my parent. I remember when I was 8 years old one of my teacher yelled at me because I did not do my homework, in that moment I remembered my parent's advice that respecting others will help you to be respected by them. So, I said to her: I am sorry but why you are yelling at me? grown ups should respect kids. I remembered the teacher's face was blushed and she said: sorry I did not mean it.  Although I was a little kid, I recognize the power of respecting others. This value also includes respecting others opinions, cultures, and differences.

To conclude, helping others and respecting them are the most valuable and helpful things that my parent taught me. I am really thankful that I have such a parents and I hope they would be proud of me.

Do You Like Being Alone?

“Leave me alone” or “ I need some space” are some statements that are used in everyday life by everyone. Have you ever heard these statements or even said them? . I am sure that we all did. But why do people need this solitary time? . For me, I need some privacy from time to time, yet all of us need it. However, There are some advantages and disadvantages of being alone.
Life is full of stressful situations, tense obligations, and bewilderment thoughts. As reaction to these problems, people tend to spend some time alone. They want to alter their mood and turned off their emotions by rethinking of all the annoying situations or even the happy confused one. This solitary time will give the person the power to adapt with new situations. It also, might help him/her in finding the right solution or it just make him/her feel more relaxed. So, in my situation if I ever felt overwhelmed, I would considerably be better after spending some time with myself.
On the other hand, too much of private time can lead to loneliness. Being lonely has different meaning than being alone. If the person feel lonely he /she might feel depressed. Thus, spending most of your time alone can lead to antisocial behaviors. Therefore, The person might get used to be alone in away that affects his/her attitude toward others.
In conclusion, being alone has positive and negative impact on the person’s lifestyle, which he/she should be aware of. Moreover, being alone doesn’t mean being lonely. It means that the person needs a space or time to think and relax. It’s a valuable time that everyone has the right to have it.  In addition to that, people should respect the need of this solitary time.

A Perfect World

Everybody dream to have a perfect world, but does perfect world exist? And is there any "Utopian" world? . Nowadays war is everywhere. Peace is lost, food is not found, and education not provided for everyone. "Dystopia" is the perfect word for describing our life these days. However, Having a utopian life is having the ideal community that has secured, sated, and well-educated people.

First, having a peaceful society will help to enhance the feeling of being secured. As a result, people will grew up in a healthy environment. Researchers show that people who suffered from war in their country they tend to have more unhealthy conditions. In addition to that, they died much faster than the people who live in a safe environment. Ghobarah, H., Huth,P., & Russett, B. (2004). stated, that "war produce long-term damage to public health and medical system". In fact, these long- term affects them psychologically. These issues might not be healed easily. Also it will impact their perspective toward people and life. As the prominent philosopher Thomas More puts it, "There is nothing more inglorious than that glory that is gained by war".

Another factor for a utopian society is food security. War might affect the amount of food that is provided for the society. Lack of food will affect people's health and that will lead to a illness, sickness. As a result, society will not develop because people will be unhealthy and powerless to do something.

Nevertheless Education, which plays an important rule in all effective societies. It’s the key for successful generations. It promotes development in all areas of life situations. Education is one of the most essential rights for people. Each person deserves to learn and to use what he/she learns toward a better life.

To sum up, there is nothing perfect in this life and that leads us to a conclusion with no perfect world. Moreover, peace, food, and education are three important elements for having a happy, secure, and ideal world.
